This was Lost in Shanghai 2018

We organized Lost in Shanghai as a group of art enthusiasts. The wonderful space “Case” on Nanjing East Road opened its doors to this explosion of art.

Welcoming guests with a free fine wine and pizza – homemade and prepared at the venue.

Some of Shanghai’s finest artists including Jared, Esther, Indra, showcased their paintings. ChrisQ created a painting live at the event with his friend and celebrated his birthday as well. Many guests also interested in the large work installed on the space by Shanghai-based artist and architect.

The performances ranged from an explosion of colors brought by Satya belly dance group to a goose skin creating tribal dance by Miu and Tagora. Finest music provided by Toya and her jazz band that lead through the night. DJs Dimsum and DJ Kevin taken over the crowd in later phases. One of the most commented point was the speech about why art makes us human and by far most photos were taken of the body painting models and painters that worked for hours. Their presentation on stage was a highlight of the evening.

This was an event involving four dozen artists and performers including a latin dance group. Artists mingled with the guests and got inspired by the different styles. On most tables, a mix of guests and artists made this night so unforgettable.
